The practice is now offering you secure video visits. It’s understandable that meeting at the practice is not always convenient & possible. Online consultations allow you to receive the same quality care as you do in person.

Information for Medical Aid Patients and Private Patients Regarding Payment and Billing:

For patients covered by medical aid, a Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB) form will be completed and submitted to your medical aid provider. If approved, your initial consultation and subsequent follow-up sessions will be directly claimed from this benefit by our practice.

 

What Are Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMBs)?

Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMBs) are a set of essential benefits designed to ensure all medical scheme members have access to specific minimum health services, irrespective of the benefit option they have chosen. The primary goal of PMBs is to provide continuous care to improve health and well-being while making healthcare more affordable.

 

Important Information for Medical Aid Patients:

  • Our practice can claim directly from your medical aid on your behalf. However, please note that our practice does not have a direct contract with any medical aid providers.

 

  • If your medical aid fails to settle part or all of your account, you will be responsible for the outstanding balance.

 

  • It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure that sufficient approved consultations are covered by their medical aid throughout the course of psychotherapy. Patients should regularly check with their medical aid provider to confirm the number of sessions approved and remaining before attending each session.

 

  • In the event that your medical aid does not cover a claim, you will be liable for payment of the account.

 

Information for Private Patients:

  • For private patients or those whose PMB sessions have been exhausted, each consultation is charged at a rate of R1400 per session.

 

  • A 10% discount is available for payments made in cash.

 

  • For private patients opting to pay via EFT, practice banking details will be provided. Payments must be made within 24 hours of receiving your invoice. Please send proof of payment via email once the EFT is completed.

 

Cancellations and Changes:

 
You are welcome to cancel an appointment, provided that you do so with at least 24 hours’ notice. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy, so if appointments are not cancelled 24 hours before hand, the full tariff will be charged.
