Mandatory to wear facial cloth/mask during face to face consultations

Due to Covid-19 it will be mandatory to wear a facial mask during our face to face therapy sessions. Also, once entering the office, hand sanitizer must be used. Thank you for your understanding.

The practice is now offering you secure video visits. It’s understandable that meeting at the practice is not always convenient & possible. Fees:

 

Please note that effective 01 January 2022, all new patients will be required to settle the first intake consultation of R1200 in cash or EFT.  During the first consultation a complete Psychological Assessment will be conducted. This expense can be claimed directly from your medical aid savings if applicable, however the responsibility to do this will rest with you.

 

For medical aid patients, a PMB (Prescribed Minimum Benefits) form will be completed during this session and if approved by your medical aid, subsequent follow up consultations will be claimed from this benefit directly by the practice.

 

Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMBs) are a set of defined benefits to ensure that all medical scheme members have access to certain minimum health services, regardless of the benefit option they have selected. The aim is to provide people with continuous care to improve their health and well-being and to make healthcare more affordable.

 

The practice may claim on your behalf from your medical aid. However, the practice does not contract with your medical aid. Should your medical aid fail to settle part or all of the account, you remain liable and responsible for settlement thereof.

 

For private patients or for patients whose PMB sessions have been exhausted, all consultations subsequent to the first intake consultation will be charged at R1100. If this is settled in cash, a 10% cash discount will apply. This discount does not apply to the first intake consultation

 

My practice is contracted to most medical aids and fees are charged according to standard medical aid rates. If you want us to claim directly from your medical aid kindly make sure that you have sufficient funds available before you arrive for your consultation. It is therefore also the patients responsibility to ensure that throughout our psychotherapy consultations that sufficient medical aid approved consultations are covered. For private patients practice banking details will be send. EFT payment must be made 24 hours after consultation once invoice have been send and proof of payment must be emailed.   Patients are responsible to inquire and contact about how many sessions they have available/left that was approved directly to their own medical aid throughout our therapy sessions before arriving for sessions. In the event that your medical aid does not pay the claim, you will remain responsible for the account.

 

Cancellations and Changes:

 
You are welcome to cancel an appointment, provided that you do so with at least 24 hours’ notice. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy, so if appointments are not cancelled 24 hours before hand, the full tariff will be charged.
