WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND SLEEP PROBLEMS & INSOMNIA?
Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that makes it hard to fall asleep, stay asleep, or get good-quality, restful sleep—even when you have the opportunity to sleep.
How insomnia affects sleep:
- Difficulty falling asleep: You may lie awake for long periods.
-
Frequent awakenings: Sleep gets broken into small, unsatisfying chunks.
-
Light or restless sleep: You may never reach deep, restorative sleep stages.
-
Feeling unrefreshed: Even after a full night in bed, you may feel tired.
-
Daytime effects: Fatigue, irritability, trouble concentrating, and decreased performance
